Winter Projects is the mid-year run of our projects format, and 2026 was its largest yet: nine teams working across four tracks — beginner, research, industry and internal club projects. More than eighty students applied.

The beginner side ran as workshops rather than a single project, covering machine learning, reinforcement learning and computer vision, so that people arriving with no background had somewhere to actually start. The advanced teams ran their own projects alongside.

It closed on 4 August with a showcase at Bloom, St Catherine's College, where all nine teams presented to the room and took feedback from industry judges from AITAI and WADSIH. Attendance held up across the whole program, which for a voluntary winter commitment is the metric we actually cared about.

The next intake opens to members first.
