UWA AI Club Summer Projects 2026–27: Applications Open
9 January – 6 March

Beginner – AI Agents New to AI? Learn how modern AI agents work: how LLMs use tools, follow multi-step instructions and automate real tasks. You'll build your own agents and agentic systems from scratch, with guidance the whole way. No AI/ML experience needed. Basic Python recommended.
Intermediate – Applied Machine Learning Take real Kaggle and Hugging Face datasets from raw data to working models. Start with traditional ML (regression, decision trees, random forests, KNN, k-means clustering, PCA), then move on to neural networks across text, images and tabular data. Well suited to students who've done Intro to Data Science or the Winter Projects Beginner ML stream.
Advanced – Industry-Style Projects For experienced students. Choose one of two tracks: • Client Projects: scope, build and deliver a solution to a real problem for an industry or community partner. • Internal Quant Project: apply ML and data techniques to financial markets in a club-run quant research project.
