Convolutional Neural Networks Workshop

A semester-opening workshop on convolutional neural networks, run both in person and online through our Discord.

The format was a theoretical breakdown of how CNNs work, followed by a practical walkthrough and live code demo from our ML team. Attendees then implemented a CNN themselves and trained it to classify handwritten digits — the classic first computer-vision project, and a genuinely satisfying one to get working.

It doubled as an introduction to the ML team for anyone thinking about joining.
